Hi,

I'd like to port or help port android to the HTC prophet (amongst
other HTC devices). I have such a device and some free time to spare
so please somebody point me in the right direction.

I believe a successful port to the HTC vogue has been made, presumably
a lot of the hardware is similar if not identical.

Anyway, I'm here to help in anyway I can, someone put me to good use,
I may be the droid you're looking for!

Regards,

Matt

Thanks for the info, I guess in response to myself, and to all those
interested in porting to their HTC devices (probably no longer in use
like mine!)

I guess one link that will be useful to most people developing for the
HTC platforms is to the HaRET (Handheld Reverse Engineering Tool) web
page.

and its associated documentation

I guess the next step is to get the android source compiled for the
HTC Prophet device (OMAP 850 a 200MHz, ARMv5TEJ + GSM/GPRS digital
baseband + stacked EDGE co-processor). Looks like people have had
problems with ARMv4xxx but as it natively supports ARMv5 hopefully
this should be easier.

I hope that cristopher and benno will be successfull with ARMv4 also
so it would be possible to run android on HTC trinity too.
