Love it
There ya go. Beat apple to that one.
I dig it.
Neat, although as David pointed out, it does break some widgets that use vertical scrolling.
Any ideas on how to make that work?
I suppose you could check to see if the event reached the desktop by only consuming it if you use it, but that would trap people on desktops with "full screen" widgets with vertical scroll, requiring them to hscroll first :/
I'd argue that the benefits to the OS outweigh the negatives of a single or even a few widgets.
Android has 7 desktops and i'm tired to pass from one to another to
see the desired, .
Why not organize them differently? Like the numpad in a keyboard:
1-2-3
4-5-6
7-8-9
So we'll have 9 desktops and only need 2 steps to anyone, moving
right>left, left>right, up>down, down>up or the four diagonals (up
right>down left, down left>up right, up left>down right, down right>up
left).

Well, if google could sponsor a hackathon, we've already somewhat organized here, we could make this the new UI for ICS.
The folks asking for a sponsorship for a "hackathon".
Wait a bit and I'll be releasing some source code and whatnot.
