I dont see the meaning of this message: what is *insufficient permissions* ?

I launch with *sudo* the command: "adb root"

That means that the adb daemon can't talk to the device (i.e. that
it's not running as root if you have your machine configured such that
you need to be root to access the USB device)

Go for "adb kill-server ; sudo adb root". Or just configure your usb
rules as documented.

THX JBQ ;-) it works now.

I had encountered another tricky message trying to flash new image on
the phone :
______________________
archive does not contain 'android-info.txt'
archive does not contain 'android-product.txt'
error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt
______________________________________________________

Could we have this files added on the properties of platform
somewhere ?

Did it fail to flash entirely? There are a number of sanity-checks
along the flashing path that tend to harmlessly trigger during regular
development, so if flashing succeeded I wouldn't worry about
situations where something complains about missing files or
signatures.
