  yes, use the -kernel &amp;lt;file&amp;gt; option to do that. &lt;br&gt; of course, the custom kernel should match the emulated hardware provided by &lt;br&gt; the emulator &lt;br&gt; (i.e. the virtual ARM platform &amp;quot;goldfish&amp;quot;). See &lt;br&gt; external/qemu/docs/ANDROID-KER NEL.TXT &lt;br&gt; for details

  I&#39;m having exactly the same problem but on Win XP (32bit, prof.) &lt;br&gt; HTC Magic 32A, unrooted, vanilla rom. &lt;br&gt; kill-server doesnt help, reinstalling drivers neither. &lt;br&gt; Almost for every command i get &amp;quot;error:protocol fault (no status)&amp;quot; &lt;br&gt; I&#39;m logged to administrator account. &lt;br&gt; Any ideas ?

  I&#39;ve been searching for chatter regarding getting app data from the &lt;br&gt; market to the SD card directly. There seems to be a strong desire for &lt;br&gt; developers to create apps with rich artwork and audio. &lt;br&gt; Even if a handset comes out with 1GB of space on the ROM for it, &lt;br&gt; that&#39;s not enough. &lt;br&gt; The latest word from the Android team is getting pretty old about this

  judging from output (as I have no Linux and any such problems): &lt;br&gt; probably you need to add libdl to LOCAL_SHARED_LIBRARIES (and &lt;br&gt; LOCAL_STATIC_LIBRARIES as well) in system/core/libacc/tests/Andro d.mk &lt;br&gt; as temporarily workaround (or -ldl to LOCAL_LDLIBS in some cases of &lt;br&gt; host executable).
