phone 1?
The HTC development center site only support the Android system image
for Android 1.6.

As long as you set the api level correctly for the target version....

I think I didn't get my question right.
I need to run the Android SDK 2.0 features.
But I have a ADP1 which can only update to Android 1.6 (thru HTC).
Is there a way to update ADP1 to run the Android SDK 2.0 features?

The current state of the master branch is based on eclair, so you could build a dream-open engineering image that will be pretty similar to what you'd find in an emulator build. Note that said build won't include google's apis. For information on how to build, consult at http://source.android.com/documentation/building-for-dream

Check the DREAM DEVELOPMENT section at xda forum (google it) and there
are a few community 2.0 builds for DREAM. You can run any of those on
your ADP1. I believe that (despite the claim to the contrary in the
first post of his thread), the 2.0 build by manup456 works with the
factory bootloader.
