Hi, I'd like to know how to get specific versions of Android out of
Git. For example, if I want release 1.0, I can use "-b release1.0".
Questions:

* What about release 1.1? Is there a tag for that?

* Is there a list of tags I can get somewhere?

* In future, is there a general policy for tagging releases?

Thanks,

John

Not that I've seen anywhere.

You might want to check out this thread. It's somewhat related:
"branches managed in AOSP"

It's my impression that Google is working toward a better source/branch/release management process. I recall reading they use Perforce internally, and are working toward using only the external git repos (can anyone elaborate on that?) If they are, then once they get past the split between internal-perforce and external-git, hopefully we'll have much better insight into the sort of questions you're asking.
