Dear friends,

Is there any support for camera/video recording on StageFright Framework?
I see few files like StageFrightRecorder.cpp.Incase, yes, how do i enable and test them?

Any help is deeply appreciated.

Cheers,
Suman Kumar

Video only recording is suppported in froyo..
you can enable BUILD_WITH_FULL_STAGEFRIGHT macro and try building to test stagefright recorder

Hi,
To best of my knowledge Video-Only recording, is supported.
and stageFright is Enabled(by default) in froyo( not sure about
recording, but for Video Playback its enabled) . ( check $(ANDR_ROOT)/
build/core/main.mk)
Also can check if Recording property(media.stagefright.enable-record)
is set or not in bulid.prop.

regards,
SP

Support for recording (audio and video) is incomplete in Froyo (which
is why we still use OpenCORE for this use case).

We're expecting to fully support recording in the next release.

Oh, interesting as I'm currently working on getting video recording working on dream. I'm using a camera driver I know to  work, camera works well but when switching to video the preview frame freezes and eventually videocamera crashes. I added BUILD_WITH_FULL_STAGEFRIGHT to vendor/htc/dream/BoardConfig, but I don't know how to check if it's on or being selected instead of opencore for video record.
