Hello.

I'v built donut for htc dream but when i tried to enable wlan system
crashes and cannot boot again until userdata partition is deleted

The last thing which logact writes is:
D/SettingsWifiEnabler ( 249): Received wifi state changed from Unknown
to Enabling
after that device dies

Also I succeeded manually insmod wlan.ko from shell but after that i
could not start wlan from settings panel
log says Failed to load Wi-Fi driver

What can be wrong with it?

Since the drivers to run donut on dream aren't currently available, I
assume that's the root cause.

At this point I'm more likely to try to get the open-source tree work
with (private) donut drivers instead of trying to figure out a
cupcake/donut hybrid.

How did you create a donut build for the dream? After the android boot
logo's I got a black screen

looks like failure was caused by absence of one orifinal private htc
library "libhtc_acoustic.so"
after i added it to /system/lib it could boot ok

btw, recompiling kernel and wlan.ko from sources didn't help
new driver doesn't crash but doesn't seem to work either with donut

It seems like the WLAN driver loads, but has problems with the
wpa_supplicant. I was working on this last week, but still no luck.
