I use the following command to start an activity via adb shell,

adb shell am start -n <name>

likewise, i'm looking for a command to destory, stop via adb shell. Is
there an option to do so?

Or is there any specific intent?
I'm assuming that when the device runs out of resources (like memory),
some kind of notification is posted to Activity Manager service for it
to destroy the non-finishing activity.
