Included in the the development/ folder is a samples/ folder. Loading
up LunarLander or JetBoy in eclipse, then installing the .apk (adb
install JetBoy.apk) on the emulator works great. However if I load
the Home project into eclipse, then intall Home.apk, it gives me a
choice to Run Sample Home, but Sample Home crashes. The Log pane
says "Couldn't find or open favorites file /system/etc/
favorites.xml". And I would have to agree, it isn't there. Anyone
else seen this? Is there a quick fix, or do I have to debug Home? Is
there a diff way to install a Home app? thanks.

Sounds like you're on your way to debugging it and contributing a fix
(except if someone familiar with the matter knows that a fix exists
somewhere and can give you more pointers).

Thanks. Do you know how I check what version I have? Also, still
learning git, how would I update just one file?

thanks!
