Hoping someone familiar with how AudioTrack and OpenSL are implemented can help-- I'm wondering if it is possible to get as low or lower latency with native OpenSL as with AudioTrack in static mode.
Based on my initial experimentation on a Nexus One, static AudioTrack has lower latency than OpenSL with a simple buffer queue and 1024 sample buffer. I'm using mono 44.1 kHz 16-bit PCM.
Thanks for any info.

Can anyone confirm that static AudioTrack is faster than native Open SL simple buffer queue?
