Fellow Android Developers,
To help us all keep a handle on the traffic on this list, we've now

Changes to group moderation
|
| |
Hi all, We've just made some changes to the moderation settings for Android- discuss and Android-beginners. From now on, requests to join the group (to post and reply to messages) will be moderated for spam prevention purposes. Messages themselves will no longer be moderated, and should appear in the group shortly after posting.... more »

Can't Run My App On My AVD.
|
| |
Hi guys. I have been having a couple of problems with this lately. All my problems started happening once Eclipse didn't allow me to create Android projects because of the new ADT Plugin (17.0.0). I have ran an update of the ADT Plugin and the whole SDK Manager so I thought that would solve the problem. Sadly, it simply didn't.... more »

Hi All,
Does any one know how to fill free ram memory via command line with
some memory allocations program. I just wanted to test some adjacent

Any suggestion would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Galaxy Nexus on Verizon: Not yet impressed.
|
| |
Hi everyone.
I recently got a Galaxy Nexus from Verizon.
Not because I really need a new smartphone, or that I even really need
mobile data. I don't even use my Nexus One now that I have a tablet. I
never really have used cell phones for voice all that much, and never
had a mobile data plan before, as I have wifi at my house, and rarely... more »

LVL Failures

Is anyone else getting frequent emails from users saying that the app they purchased is now no longer registering? IOW, if you put something in your implementation saying they needed to purchase the product (like their example) they are seeing it after purchase. In one case I suggested the user contact Google Play support since this is a Google... more »

saving user's password... Developer Distribution Agreement question
|
| |
In my application, I use a user's email and password to log them into another site. That is, I am a 3rd party service. I plaster a nice big "it's all in cleartext so do this at your own risk" sign, but for my own safety I do not keep the password past the session. This is obviously annoying to users and I'd like to change that, but the way I read the... more »

Doing Android Apps for the PlayBook?
|
| |
Starting this thread so people can post their experiences, if any, on
making their app work on the playbooks.
Blackberry people were actively engaged at AnDevCon to encourage us
developers to run our apps. They say they have a dedicated market that
is very willing to actually pay for apps, and that may be true.... more »

Google Play comments used as support messages
|
| |
Yet it happened again. A user leaving a 1 star comment with a vague support message along the lines: "doing X no longer works in updated version, worked before. Please fix" Of course feature X is quite complex and there is not enough detail to understand if this is a user error or a real issue: it requires getting more info from this user which would have been possible... more »
