Subject: Google Play branding
I was looking at creating some merchandise associated with my app for
a little bit of extra promotion and as part of that was considering
using the "Android App on Google play" icon listed at item 6 on
http://www.android.com/developers/branding.html#google_play

Which according to all the text seemed to be a valid use of the icon.
But then I noticed this paragraph at the bottom of the page which
seems to refute that we can actually use any of the images.

"The applications and content depicted on this site are not the
property of Google and we cannot give approval to use any of the
images or content. You must seek the developer for appropriate
permission."

What does everyone reckon? Is using the image allowed or not?

William

Last time I looked at that page (before the google play nonsense) I am
pretty sure that last line was not present.   I'm guessing it is
supposed to be part of text somewhere as a disclaimer you must display
if you use the google badge ... but then it is in itś own div on the
webpage, rather than looking like an orphaned part of another
paragraph.  I guess a classic goof between webdesigner and lawyer...

Note that  they have a page to customize the badge, so i'm pretty sure
they want you to use it:
