Subject: Compass won't calibrate?
I'm trying to use the wikitude application on the G1. It keeps saying
Compass Accuracy Low: Please move phone around in all directions. I
move the phone in every direction for minutes and nothing happens. It
is still out of calibration. Is this a hardware issue? Anyone have any
suggestions?

thanks,
Chad

Hi,
this issue has been raised a couple of times:

- for some people calibration was successful after they put the
keyboard in

- One person wrote: "The directions aren't that clear but it seems you

need to roll the phone front over back to calibrate. It also seems to
help to do it quickly."

Let me know if that helps,
Ph

I see the same message ("Compass Accuracy: low Please move your phone
around in all directions to calibrate.")

FWIW, I can use Google Maps w/ Street View + "Compass Mode" just fine,
so I'm guessing that the compass is in fact calibrated.

Hoping someone can help... Thanks,
~Daniel

This message is displayed when the compass report low accuracy.

I can change this message to be more of a warning. Will be out in release
v4.9

Ph
