Hi all,

i'm desperatly searching for a method to figure out if a device running my
app can actually use the 5Ghz wifi band.

Does anyone know how to do that?

There is no API. Why would you want this in an app ?

My app tries to prefer 5ghz wifis instead of restricting the device to them like Android itself can do.

It would be nice if I could inform users if their device has no 5ghz WiFi to avoid frustration.
