Subject: Are my Apps now in the USA Google Play? I have my doubts.

I am based in Ireland and I am seeing people from the UK, Hong Kong, Oman
and the Netherlands installing my app. When deploying the app I selected
the USA as one of the targets.

However, I don't see anyone from the USA installing my app, I am surprised
to see this, considering 20+ people from the UK installed it (population of
the UK is only around  a quarter of the USA population)

So, if you are based in the USA, could do me a favour and let me know if
you see any apps from "Horsebox Software" in your google play?

If you want to install one, please feel free (!!), but even if I knew they
were visible that would be a help.

(btw I contacted Google and they said it should be there as I had all the
countries.

Thanks

I see the following apps:

   1. Irish Postage Calculator
   2. Oven Temperature Converter
   3. Bandon Flood Early Warning

Two of your three apps are specific to Ireland... I doubt many people in
the US are going to install those.  As for the temp converter, there are a
huge number of temp converters out there...
 Thanks,

Hi Justin,

Thanks for your reply. I take your points about the appeal of the Irish
apps, I wouldn't expect people in the USA to download these.

However, the people in the UK would see the same number of temp converter
apps as the people in the USA, yet 20 of them have installed it. I just
find it strange that given the relative populations, the USA should have
more installs than the UK.

Could you install my Oven Temp app please and then I should see it show up
in my stats. I am just wondering if people have installed it and google is
not reporting it maybe?

You don't even need to leave it on your phone for long, it would still show
up as an install (just not an active one). Then at least I'll know that it
is installable from the USA.

Thanks a million,

John

yes Justin...

All three of your apps are visible in the US.  I wouldn't be surprised if
they had been automatically downloaded so don't expect many support
questions.

They aren't my apps...

To the OP, I will install them as you requested... sorry I haven't done it
yet.

Thanks for all of the replies and thank you Justin for pledging to install
the app.

If anybody else here from the USA could install my app, I'd much appreciate
it, just post here to let me know you've installed it.

Then at least I'll know I'm getting stats for it.

Thanks

John

Hi John,

I installed them yesterday and kept them installed for the day... So you
should be able to see them in your stats whenever they get updated.

Thanks,
