Reports and photo leaks strengthen Sony Ericsson’s previous announcement of their own arsenal of Google Android mobile phone.
As it looks like a follow-through from the joining the Open Handset Alliance last year, the website of Danish Mobil magazine posted that Sony Ericsson’s very first Android phone, codename Rachel, will hit summer of this year.
Similar to other photo leaks of rumored successors of SE’s XPERIA X1, pictures of codename Rachel clearly shows that XPERIA emblem but it is quite eccentric to be in the same product line with a Windows Mobile-powered smart phone. Mobil also says that SE Rachel will be driven with Qualcomm Snapdragon processing platform with a speed of up to 1ghz and 7.2Mbit/s HSPA download rate.
Pictures also suggest that Rachel may be packing with an 8.1-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 3.5mm headphone jack and a miniUSB port. No other details are determine but report says it has a pressure-sensitive touchscreen.
Lastly, SE Rachel may also bear Google Android OS 2.0, which is also announced for release this year.
