As you probably know, the Android Developer Challenge submission period for the first round is scheduled to run from today, 2 January, through 3 March.
Unfortunately final testing revealed some cross-browser bugs in the application we'll be using to allow you submit your work. We're fixing those now, and will have the site up and running as soon as we possibly can. At the same time that the submission application becomes available, we'll also make the final Terms and Conditions of the competition available.
We apologize for the delay, and thank you for your patience!

Thank you for the update. Those last minute issues...
Not sure about the impatience at the side of us independent
developers.
Cuts into Android's time to evaluate submissions, not so much into
ours (;->).
Somewhat related to the topic and now that there's a few minutes...
I've wondered in the last half year or so why Google don't use their
own tools to help mitigate issues as described. (Extensively) using
GWT in their products. I developed a professional solution for a
client last year, all the way to manufacturing integration, who will
release it some time early this year. I'm really happy, client is
really happy, and, other than VLC player integration, I never really
had to mess with on the DOM/JavaScript level and "browser quirks". I
can see how GWT could help a lot of folks delivering professional GUI
solutions, and certainly wonder why you guys are not using GWT a bit
more yourselves... just an observation.
