Best of luck to everyone (winner or not) as we could never have made
it this far without the contributions from everyone that's posted to
this community. We've tried to give back through the tutorials at
blog.pocketjourney.com though and plan to post many more over the
coming months.
Cheers! I'm heading off for a much anticipated jumbo-sized margarita.

Yay! Pocket Journey! That was one of my favorites.
That will definitely be on my gphone when the time comes.
I was just in Toronto and had one day to explore the city and was
wishing I had Pocket Journey to help!
Nice job!

Congratulations. But, I still want to see an app that hasn't been
done to death. GPS locations, fingerprints, barcodes, where's the
originality. That's what I'm after.

Well it's a tradeoff, too original can be bad too. I entered a
submission that does a real-time search of > 1 million product images
(crawled from Google Products) using a cluster of GPUs to find the
closest matching shapes...(all based on my thesis)...
But barcodes are where it's at. Wish I'd know that sooner!

ours was. the most crazy idea there is. i cannot reveal it yet, sorry.
our UI sucked because of lack of time.
we lost. seems like moderate ideas that have all 10000 features of the
android were selected. i wish i've done a calculator that subtracts
when you hit the phone on the wall.

is there any one outside of USA and UK? Since there were about 70
country's people who took part in the competion. I would love to see
some one from different country other than USA and UK

All winning applications I have seen so far are the kind of
applications that nobody can complete if the original deadline was not
changed (For those of you who forgot, the original deadline was not
April 14 but more than a month earlier). We did not pursue our entry
because we felt we selected an application that cannot win. We
selected an application based on the original deadline because we
assumed the original deadline will be strictly followed. When the
extension was announced, it was too late for us to change our entry to
a more sophisticated application.
I felt, and I still feel, that before the orignal deadline some
entries under development were already disclosed to OHA. If you'll
notice, the winning entries are really great (I can say WOW! to say
the least) and I think OHA thought those apps were so great that it
would be a pity if those apps could not make it just because of a
short deadline. Hence, the extension.
I am happy about our decision not to pursue (we'll surely lose), and I
am excited of me using the winning applications when gphone finally
arrives. In the meantime, I'm having feast in getting ideas from the
winning apps and see what I can use to develope my next iphone/windows
mobile application.

I did a team submission with Mary Ann from SF. We worked together remotely all by chat. I'm from Chennai, India.

Nope
I made video manuals and I didn't write document for usage.
But only 3 of 12 judges played it. That three guys played 5%, 10% and
50% of manual.
Actually they didn't like to play long video.
Mine is Social Network Application.
