Dear Google members,

I would like to know if a German "Verein" (which is similar to a
"voluntary association") would be accepted as "business entity,
corporation, or other legal entity" according to Section 3 of the
Terms and Conditions ( http://code.google.com/android/adc-submit/tandc.html
).

There are three common sub-types:
* Eingetragener Verein
* Nicht rechtsfähiger Verein
* Rechtsfähige wirtschaftliche Vereine
Which of these would qualify as "other legal entity" for the purpose
of participation in this competition?
Which of these would you recommend to form for the purpose of winning
a competition?

This is something the International legal division or German legal
division of Google should clarify, and let a Google member post an
answer here in this forum.

I'm sorry I don't have the money to pay for a lawyer for doing this
kind of research, but in the end anyway the Google lawyer team has to
decide, so you may as well do it now.

Thank you,
Peli

Hi, Peli!

Each of the three legal entities you mentioned are eligible for the Challenge.

Thanks,

- Dan

Hi Dan,

Thank you very much for the quick and positive answer! This may help
our project a lot!

I think you have a tough job, being confronted with all the different
people's needs for this competition, but I think you are doing the
right thing in ironing out all these problems.

Thanks again,

Peli
