Kernel.org seems to be back online but the android.git.kernel.org link
is still death?
Why is that?

Hosting AOSP is a bit more complex than just uploading a small file to
a server, so there's a bit more complexity than just having a server
running in the same domain as before.

We're working on it and we're making good progress, but we're not
ready to announce any additional details yet.
