TL;DR: If you need to ask, the answer is no.

HTC might have (or have had) the images for Nexus One. Google has never hosted them.

Cool, thanks for this succinct reply.

"we aren't able to automatically license Google Play to all compatible devices." Gotcha.

Is it possible to restore the factory image to a Nexus One? The Nexus One isn't listed on this page: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

Is it possible to get the Nexus One factory image from elsewhere? I originally bought my N1 directly from Google...

You're not supposed to download that file directly, it's meant to be used by machines, not by humans.

If HTC doesn't host the factory images in questions, I'm afraid there's no official way to get a Nexus One to its initial state after using AOSP on it. I'm not sure there's ever been such a way, in fact.

I found this file:

   http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/passion/b90257ed8cd3.signed-passion-ota-121341.b90257ed.zip

I tried to install it with "fastboot -w flashall", based on the flash-all.sh script from the "Factory Images for Nexus Devices" page [1] and got this error:

error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt

Looking inside the archive, instead of system.img and recovery.img, it contains a directory structure called "system" and another called "recovery".

I appreciate this is getting off topic for a building AOSP group. It's nice that the "Building for Devices" page mentions "Restoring a device to its original factory state". In case someone spots the problem (off the top of their head) with what I tried, or has a tip on restoring a Nexus One after installing AOSP, or can suggest the appropriate forum, my thanks.
