  You need to specify the value, for example #F18, where F is the value for &lt;br&gt; red, 1 is the value for green and 8 is the value for blue. It&#39;s the same as &lt;br&gt; html color codes so you can look those up if you like.

  I&#39;m not sure that&#39;s possible. &lt;br&gt; Custom Intents have to be manually sent. If you invent an Intent out of &lt;br&gt; whole cloth, nothing in Android will know to send it except perhaps your &lt;br&gt; own code. &lt;br&gt; I cover custom Intents in a two-part blog post series on AndroidGuys, with &lt;br&gt; the second post being probably more in line with what you need:
