For those that aren't on android-discuss;
It's been confirmed you can distribute your apps prior to the August 1st deadline as long as you don't use Googles Market.
This means if you want to list alpha/beta/release candidate applications at AndAppStore for downloading by testers (using the pre-release option in the developers menu after logging in) you can do so and still be ADC2 eligible.
