Where can I find an online anti-virus that doesn't install on your PC?
|
| |
I've got 5 PCs that I'm trying to use to train disadvantaged young
people. The problem is they are riddled with viruses and a firewall
blocks me from updating them. The people in charge of maintaining the
PCs won't fix them or give me the admin password (Win XP) to let me
install a new or updated antivirus the centre is being shut down in a... more »

Deletion Issues
|
| |
I have uploaded files but then chose to modify them and re-upload them
and I want to delete the older files. I try to click the trashcan icon
and it does nothing on my end. I have many duplicates of files and I
wanted to know if anyone was having the same issue and/or if the
duplicates will be ignored.... more »

Slow processing time
|
| |
Are there any tricks I can give the tech guys at my school? They are
having trouble getting it to download with our blocks. Also I was able
to download it on my computer but it is very slow and takes up a lot
of resources, which worries me when trying to think about implementing
my lesson (lag time can cause problems when teaching). Any suggestions... more »

Two submissions/Cross Listed
|

Good Evening-
I teach both Latin and Ancient History. I was originally going to
write a lesson that would work for either Latin I (normally a 9th
grade class where I teach) or a social studies class (Roman History is
taught in middle school in OH). May I submit either the same lesson
cross listed for Latin 1 (9th grade) and Social Studies (8th grade).... more »

Going to Rome in June
|
| |
I will be going to Rome in June and am really excited about this
resource. I am wondering if there is anyone else who wants to work
with me on a lesson idea. I am planning on doing an online project
and keeping a blog about all of the things that I see and do. I will
be in Rome as part of the meetings of the Society for Biblical... more »

Instructional Facilitator
|
| |
I'm an instructional facilitator for the state of North Carolina. I
work with social studies teachers in 17 different schools all year
around. My main task is to help teachers improve teaching and
learning; we develop curriculum, lessons, assessments, etc. together.
Can I submit lessons to this competition?... more »

Are retired educators eligible?
|
| |
I've been retired for just over a year after spending more than 40
years as an educator, with many years actively engaged in curriculum
development in High School Social Studies. This project sounds
intriguing; may retired educators pariticipate in the competition?
Thanks!

I'd really love to join but...
|
| |
...I'm not a US educator.
However; is there any chance I could volunteer or do any other help in
this project?
Just a few words (reasons) about me:
1) I graduated in history and (Roman) archaeology in Pécs, Hungary.
2) I used to teach history and art history at secondary school (14-20
year old kids) for nine years.... more »
