Hi all, I've installed the Tracking Code in the Footer page. However,
when I click on the Check Status link, it shows the following error
message:
Tracking Not Installed (Last checked: Jul 14, 2008 12:26:03 PM Please
wait one minute before checking again. )
The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your
website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web
administrator must add the code to each page of your website.
Well it is impossible to understand what is the problem by reading
your your question. There are many possibilities. Are you sure you
pasted the code right?

The real question is: are you seeing data in your reports? If so, then
don't worry about the message, several people have experienced the
same thing. The good news is the message doesn't matter as long as you
are receiving data.

I too have installed GA code for several sites, correctly. I'm getting
data each day, yet the Status still says "Tracking Not Installed".
This bug makes it rather difficult to troubleshoot new installations -
knowing if we got it right or not is a shot in the dark with a 24hr
lag time.
As some of you have mentioned, there is currently a technical issue
with the tracking code status indicator. Even after you install the
Analytics tracking code on your site and receive data, you may see a
"Tracking Not Installed" error next to the profile in question. If you
see data in your reports, you may disregard this error while our
technical team investigates.

Go to Analytics Settings, click on the Edit link for the domain's
settings, then click on Edit in the Main Website Profile Information
box. Once there, make sure that your Website URL starts with http://
and add it if it is missing. The tracking code will not be recognized
when http:// is missing in the Website URL field.

I am having this problem:
I had GA tracking installed and working on my website 2 days ago, I
signed in to get my stats yesterday and everything was gone (all my
stats were gone and under "status", it said that GA was not installed)
I went to my website but the tracking code was there. Since GA said
the code was not installed I deleated the code from my site and
retried to paste it again to fix the problem. I made a mistake somehow
and my Google account got deleted, now when I try to sign up for
Google Analytics again I keep getting a page that says "An Error Has
Been Detected, please try again" but when I try again I get the same
page again.
If anyone knows why this is happening, please let me know~Thank you

I think I have it figured out, YAY! I had to create a Google account
with a different email address...lol, so now the code is installed and
okay I think..just reads "tracking unknow" but I think that'll go
away.
