Ahoy landlubber or old matey,
I would like to introduce you to Arrrrcamp 2011 - the only Benelux
conference about Ruby and Rails, Radiant and Rum, taking place on
Friday October 7th, 2011 in Ghent, Belgium. And it has a free pirate
twist! Ayeee!
The conference is a one-day event, starting at 8am, with the talks
ending around 6pm. The venue is easily accessible using public
transport. We provide breakfast, lunch and cocktails, and a splendid
after-party, on a boat! Check our location page for more info on the
venue and getting/staying in Ghent.
We will welcome some great speakers: core members and great developers
of several popular projects and gems, such as Radiant, Spree, Cucumber-
js, Capybara, Gitorious, Serve, SASS..., and your normal, day-to-day
users and contributers to Ruby, Rails and Radiant. Have a look at the
speakers list for more details.
The opening keynote will be presented by John Long, Radiant-inventor,
and now Radiant-godfather, and the author of Serve and active in the
SASS development. The closing keynote will be by Corey Haines, well-
known member of the ruby and rails community, and Code-retreat-
inventor and evangelist. Check the full day-schedule.
So, if you're using rails, ruby or radiant, if you're interested in
the community, or if you want to have a good day with like-minded
people, step up and order your ticket now, at only 95 euro for the

Live from my hotel in Ghent after a day of ArrrrCamp: This was a great
little conference. Friendly people, great lunch & mojitos and HQ
talks.
