can amrita handle moving boundaries (within the comp domain)? I
presume it would be using the embedded boundary technique for handling
arbitrary boundaries.

The question should be posed as: can amr_sol handle moving boundaries?
The short answer is, no it cannot. The long answer is that amrita could
swallow any third-party package that could.
