  It looks as though I am already able to add releases to &lt;br&gt; ambition.rubyforge.org. I released 0.5.4 using the code as of Chris&#39;s &lt;br&gt; last commit. &lt;br&gt; This should take care of this pesky problem: &lt;br&gt; ERROR: Error installing ambitious-activerecord: &lt;br&gt; ambitious-activerecord requires ambition (&amp;gt;= 0.5.3, runtime)

  This means read-only functionality, to be clear. Adding writability &lt;br&gt; is feasible, but IIRC will require changes to the core.   It&#39;s pretty dead unless people want to step up and take over. Most of &lt;br&gt; the future work needs to be done with adapters - the core should be &lt;br&gt; more or less complete.   I&#39;m having the same problem. I&#39;ve done a little digging and I think &lt;br&gt; the problem is within Ambition::API#size, but I can&#39;t remember as I&#39;ve &lt;br&gt; since patched my local copy of ambition. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;m also having problems with record.association.count, where &lt;br&gt; association is a has_many - I&#39;m getting a &#39;wrong number of arguments&#39;

  Hi, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;m doing a count of a large data set: &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;RegressionData.count &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;which I expect to emit the SQL (using MySQL): &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt; SELECT count(*) AS count_all FROM `regression_data` &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;but instead I get &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt; SELECT * FROM `regression_data` &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;when using ambition and given that there are 130K entries it&#39;s a bit

  Hi, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I can&#39;t say if the patch is a good idea or not but I thought that the &lt;br&gt; recommended way to handle this would be to move params[:login] + &#39;%&#39; &lt;br&gt; into a variable and compare against that. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;e.g. (untested) &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;login = params[:login] + &#39;%&#39; &lt;br&gt; User.select{ |u| u.login =~ login } &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;On a different note, I&#39;m beginning to question the long term viability

  Just to be as clear as possible, I git cloned today and the versions &lt;br&gt; for the gems are as follows: &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt; ambition-0.5.4 &lt;br&gt; ambitious-activerecord-0.1.3 &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;If I check the gem dependencies using &amp;quot;rake gems&amp;quot;, it shows them both &lt;br&gt; as properly frozen. I have tried the ambition command from the rails &lt;br&gt; application itself and from the console with the exact same result.

  You can run `rake gem &amp;amp;&amp;amp; gem install pkg/*.gem` to install it as a &lt;br&gt; gem. You might also have luck with rake install, or rake install_gem. &lt;br&gt; I didn&#39;t, but I assume that&#39;s because I&#39;m on Windows. &lt;br&gt; Gordon
