Weird Javascript error on load: DOMException

I am facing something rather annoying.

(I've disabled all of the Chrome extensions in this)

When the JavaScript console is open when loading Amber (the stock version,
latest from the git repo).

When I load Amber, I do get this JavaScript DOMException related to jQuery.

Then, if I hit continue in the JavaScript debugger, Amber shows.

I set up the index page - makes life easier - but I still can't write to
the Transcript

Transcript show: 'hello world'.

Produces nothing in the Transcript window, although a printIt does return a
Transcript object. Interestingly, starting Helios in this way doesn't
produce a DNU

I am currently starting writing an application with:

Amber
Pharo 2.0
Seaside 3.1
Seaside-REST

and this gives me my share of new things to make work.

The SmalltalkHub code is nice and all but is beyond my grasp at the moment,
even if I look at it for clues at times.

In this config, I want to solve the cross domain ajax request situation as

Thanks Phil for starting this.

What I was thinking about is that it would be cool to have an Amber
application for this which can ship with the examples or the core and which
could also be run on the main website.

Any takers? :-)

I had this problem once.
My guess was that the automatic class migration did not behave well or that
the Exporter had a problem.
Changing 'nil' back to the old class solved the problem for me.

You should start helios with one of the following (added to my app
index.html)

I have started experimenting with Helios - very slick - but found a problem
with the Transcript. I know Helios is under development, so this may be
irrelevant, but the following code throws a jsproxy error (DNU append)

(1 to: 100) do: [:each| Transcript show: each;cr].

However, it works correctly under the old interface.

Hi Phil,

the server should use the current directory it is running in as the
document root.
But I'll check, once I'm home.

Hello Andy,

you have to start the server with the --host argument like in ./bin/server
--host 0.0.0.0 if you want to listen on any IP address.
By default the server now only listens on localhost for security reasons.

Hello,

I've some trouble getting the server to work as before with the new stuff.

So, start.sh is said to be broken.

Indeed...

Now, if I do

./vendor/amber/bin/server

in the /amber-examples/ folder the server starts

but serves what is inside /vendor/amber/

How can I run the examples then?

I just installed lively-kernel (which runs on port 9001), and that worked
fine. So, it doesn't appear to be only a Nodejs issue.
