As the term of the 2009-2010 shammashim draws to a close, we are
pleased to invite all interested and actively involved Altshulers to
nominate themselves for the 2009-2010 shammash team. Altshul's
shammashim serve for one year and conduct the day-to-day activities of
the community, including coordinating davening, social, social
justice, and educational activities. The shamashim work in
consultation with the steering committee on issues that affect the
long term big picture of the Altshul community. Five shammashim serve
at a time. Current and past shammashim will interview all nominees.
We will do our best to compose a team which reflects the diversity of
our community and is balanced in terms of skills, background, and
interests.
