Proof of Concept

We expect to be starting on a Proof of Concept project in the next few
weeks.

It may be possible to fund a position on this project, or you may wish
to collaborate.

The project:

Automatically read 150 page medico-legal document and build complete
semantic structure.
Use built structure to quickly answer any (typed) question within the
scope of the document, some smaller associated documents, and
associated database fetch.

Automatically answer questions with accuracy of 95% in six months
project, with the goal of rising to 99% in a follow-on project over a
corpus of several thousand documents, ranging in size from 60-150
pages, covering several million individuals. The follow-on project
would also involve dialog (questions building on previous answers).

The person:
Native speaker of English.
Ability to slough what they know and learn new things quickly by
themself– tight integration of grammar and semantics, existential
logic, relational logic, theory of groups, active, undirected, self-
modifying structures, the meaning of legalese.
Ability to integrate across many aspects which are not easily
visualised – at least six, preferably nine.
Willingness to do tedious work to achieve high system reliability.

We are based in Sydney, but it may be possible to work remotely.
