We are pleased to announce the release of AltAnalyze version 2.0.7. This release represents several major advances in the automated analysis of microarray and next generation RNA sequencing data.

This version introduces multiple modes of integrated data visualization, moderated t-tests, quality control (QC), clustering, transcriptional regulation analysis and analysis of cell type composition. In terms of visualization, users can automatically obtain various QC plots, hierarchical clustering heatmaps, Principal Component Analysis plots, colored WikiPathways and visualization of cell and tissue correlations upon a comprehensive lineage network. This new lineage analysis method is called LineageProfiler and represents the first initial release of this software, with expanded features to appear in the future. In addition to running these functions within the standard AltAnalyze pipelines, these methods can also be run independently through the new “Additional Analyses” interface.

Extensive documentation is available with the software and online at http://altanalyze.org. Please also see our new Blog at http://altanalyze.blogspot.com and feature details at which describes these new features in more detail.

Best Regards,

Nathan Salomonis
