I've written a monthly column since 1998, so I can "claim" that, yes:

Where's your "monthly column" for February, May and June?

Filling whitespace in Gooberville's version of
the PennySaver with stories about Will Dockery
and fake interviews about Will Dockery doesn't
make you a columnist, it just simply makes you
a whitespace filler.

Luckily, in those issues
there was no whitespace
that needed to be filled.
Since 1998.

Unpaid and at no cost to anyone, eh, Goober?
The point wasn't whether I got rich writing the column, but that I've
written the column for over ten years... meanwhile, you can barely
write a Usenet post, Barbie.

Chickens have laid eggs for free
for over ten thousands of years,
so they win.
And you suck 'em.
"We know," Barbie.

"We know"
That makes two of us, Barbie. The fact remains that I've written a monthly
column since 1998 and you can barely write a Usenet post.

Game over!
And the chickens win 10,000 to 10!
There was a feature on the Hogbottom show in the May issue and a
review of the Shadowville Speedway in this month's issue, so there was
plenty enough Will Dockery content in those already. The column will
return in the July issue, next week.
Interestingly (to me, anyway) back in 1998 I actually wrote two
columns a month for PG. It began when my friend Mark Coile died and I
continued his Artrageous column for a few months, covering artist
events around town (a lot of wine and cheese in those days!) and that
eventually evolved into the To The Magic Store column that I still
write today. The other column was Queenie & Alphonse, written with
Lisa Scarborough, which was us going back and forth, sort of like
(actually was, I seem to remember) an instant message call and
response type thing, commenting on local happenings of interest to us.
I have stacks of those back issues, and someday I want to scan them...
I'll let you know when I do.
Anyway, I'll post a link to the July column, which will be out in a
week or so.

Silly goober, no one actually cares to see your "column".

A month to so a column and you have nothing to say. Considering your
Usenet output, you're remarkably consistent.

And you lay them on a stage. I'm just wondering if you're ever sober enough
to look at your drunken performances and say to yourself that you need to
get help.

"... George Clooney, Cher and Jimmy Stewart--Three well known
politicians who were assassinated." - Edmo really loses it.
And I don't actually "care" if you want to see it, Barbie. There was a
question over whether I write a "column", and the fact is that I've
written one since 1998.
Which has been the main focus of the column from the start... notes on
upcoming and past poetry readings, art shows, entertainment of various
kinds, mainly where creative people can have a venue to have their
work, performance, whatever, seen by others.
Yes, very much the purpose I see Usenet serving, in an alternate way,
though when I began the column in 1998 I had no idea Usenet existed.

I don't particularly have a "favorite", but here's one that someone
scanned once, which gives a good idea of how the column plays out each
month:

That one's from August 2006.
The question is over whether you're a columnist. Columnists .. get
paid, Twitch. Something you've never managed to get accomplished, huh?
No one has ever parted with a single cent for anything you've ever
written, Bill. So, you claiming you're a 'columnist' is just another
mini-fraud on your part. One of many mini-frauds you're guilty of,
Bill. And that's just
sad
you know.

And I've written a column since 1998, Blue, so there you go, like it
or not. here's an example of one of them:

Now, go have yourself a nice day, Blue... I know I will.

You made a few errors so I fixed them for you.
There's no need to thank me because as always,
I'm here to help.
Thanks, Barbie...

BWHA AH HAHAAHAHAH you will NEVER be rich, Duckery. You could give blow jobs
to billionaires and you wouldn't be rich. As for column writing? It's been
established that nothing you put forth is classified as "writing," so how
about you go run a cheese grater over that thick head of yours? Imbecile!

The "This is your brain, this is your brain on drugs" idea never really
caught Will's attention.
(it wasn't about him, after all...)
Not really interested in being rich, either. I'd be happy enough
fishing and crabbing down in Florida, cook up a pot of Gichi stew and
rice, and sing on the streets for tips... a mighty fine way to close
out a mighty fine life, in my opinion.
