Dear Irascible Professor Readers, Writers, and Colleagues:
The Irascible Professor has recovered from travel to Seattle, a nasty summer cold, and visiting grandchildren sufficiently to post another thought provoking article from one of our frequent contributors -- Sanford Pinsker. This time Sandy riffs about the progression of grade inflation from the Gentleman's C to the Gentleman's (and Lady's) A-. The Irascible Professor joins in with his own observations, and with a little historical context.
