POEMS

1. [ Children's poem for my book "Moon Tea".
A mom answers her child's question]

"How many miles to Wonderland?"
"It's as close as can be.
Close your eyes you sleepy head
and get their in your dreams."

2. [A Dorian Gray type poem]

I put a spell
on this kid's book.
Read it each year
as you grow up,

and it grows too.
The words get bigger,
the prose more dense,
the pages thicker ....

3. [Haiku-type poem]

the water
is in a hurry
to get
down the stream

4. [A Vision poem]

follow the rabbit
when he starts to roar!

5.  [A Quatro poem]

Man looks up - a bird!
Robot looks up - a satellite!

6. [?]

What if you played
chess with one square?
What if you had
a puzzle with one piece?

7. [Another for the kids]

The alphabet
is a train.
"A" is for engine
and "Z" for caboose

8. [Surreal]

I caught a wave
all by itself
and feed it water
in its jar.

9. [Another Quatro]

People in their rooms
Dewdrops on the leaves
- (Hotel)

SAYINGS

Remember, if the old ideas worked, we wouldn't still have the problem

The Beatles had two phases in their music : the first was rock and roll, the second was art songs.

If you dress in layers, there are probably layers to your personality too.

In science, common sense is almost always wrong.

Tommy:  I'm writing my own marriage vows. The first line reads"
This is not legally binding....
