Same people who killed the electric car and promoted the SUV, I'd say.
Same people who turn a blind eye to bicycles and alternative
transportation. Same people who only care about short-term profits.
Now the winter simply disappeared in North America. But summer is
cooking in Buenos Aires, in case you say "balmy weather" is a
desirable outcome.
Like everything, the weather affects different species differently at
the zoo...
(I quote)
Do not tell that to the folks at the Bronx Zoo, where staff members
are eager to see their cold-loving charges — Siberian tigers, snow
leopards and polar bears, to name a few — in their natural element.
“Some species clearly enjoy it when it snows,” said Patrick R. Thomas,
the zoo’s general curator and associate director. “Our tigers are more
active and playful in the snow, and the polar bears slide across it.
They just exhibit what we would consider joyful behaviors.”
I'm not a "happy bear," but neither I'm a "desert lizard" to deal with
cooking summers, where people stay in air conditioning. And that's
because I like to be "out of the cage."

Common guys, you broke it...
Dr. Jennifer Francis at Rutgers Univ. has been doing some ground
breaking research into just this. She has found compelling evidence
that the lack of Arctic Sea ice has caused a shift in weather patterns
that could (at least in part) explain this kind of pattern. I saw her
presentation in Breckenridge a few weeks ago (at the Glen Gerberg
Weather and Climate Summit.)

'Humans are cruel and inhumane, especially to each other. Slavery is
still alive and well and serving our "free market ideals," did you
catch the oxymoronic irony. We exploit ourselves in the name of
economics, so why should the chickens get any respect?
We are a pathetic species with a warped sense of morality. Oh and
don't forget ignorant and self-righteously proud of it. Our only
saving grace is our sense of humor. But don't tell that to the
chickens, they are not laughing.
And by the way "Forgive them for they know not what they do" doesn't
fly anymore. They damn well know they are poisoning and exploiting
this planet for profit knowing that appropriate, sustainable
alternative exist across the board. They are just too greedy to do the
right thing for future generations.'

This explains climate change and a few other things. But our sense of
humor separates us from the very animals we oppress. Something good
about us. Am I the only philosopher with a sense of humor?

I imagine so do the polar bears and tigers.
They don't have much of a choice.
When and if your "revolution" turns,
perhaps you can outlaw zoos
and the private ownership of our cousins.
Open all the cage doors,
allow the birds to fly free.
Take the collars and leashes off all the dogs
and maybe they won't shit on your path.
Watch your step anyhow.
There tends to be an "it"
where one least expects "it"

No.
Neither are you the only one complicit
in all the many activities which together
conspire to make the world as you see it.
The Sage forgets about knowledge and wisdom.
The Sage is beyond revolving and revolutions.
The Sage has left the stadium.

It is 17 degrees here in Ohio, with the wind chill at about -10. Winter has not yet left the Midwest.
