In the immense silence of emptiness, Universal Cosmic Energy
illuminates omnipresently over the deep space of impermanent
existence, where sufferings exist endlessly in the profoundly moving
beauty of the Universe. Meditation is the greatest path to the
cessation of sufferings under the movement of intelligence, peace, and
love.

My Beloved Julian,

Live and enjoy the beauty of the Universe...
The mesmerizing clouds reflected the divinity of the evening Sun,
which came to rest behind the dark mountains. One's consciousness
had
gradually dissolved into the sacred silence of the godly Sun and the
mother Earth. Live and see the beauty of all things! This is the
ecstasy of meditation and Enlightenment.

Cheers!

Not too long ago was borned a baby named Rex. Within the first
few moments of life there was this serene emptiness - no eye, no nose,
no ear, no touch, no taste, no beauty, no universe, no light, no
space, no impermanence, no permanence, no existence, no profundity, no
intelligence.

In a moment of awakening to the senses life emerged as a struggle
to make sense of the world around. Such a life was the start of death
of our essential being. As we get to be conditioned , learn, discover
and our past life start to catch up with us we started to look for
this serene emptiness - the ever presence of which hound us daily. We
tried everything we could to satisfy our senses and to avoid all that
disagree. All our acquisition be it material or mental doesn't seem to
be able to fill this deep feeling of emptiness. We move from wife to
wife, house to house, job to job, events to events, and we seek
activities to fill this deep emptiness which seem fathomless in its
depth and breadth.

We find ourselves in a prison of our own making ; not knowing what
else to do. So we try meditation. We read and believe that we need to
fill this emptiness with "nice" things, "beautiful" things,
"compassionate" things. We hung on this wall of our mind of all the
things that brough comfort to us - things that brought acceptance by
other people. It is such a beautiful prison that we often forget or
are not aware of the ever presence serene emptiness. We kept
meditating and each new experience we hung it up on the wall and think
we have arrived. We "felt the presence" of God of divine light, we
hear divine sound, smelt divine fragrance and we felt "happy" and
"accepted".

And yet this serene emptiness continue to escape us. We often
catch glimpses of this during our moments of reverie of profound
acceptance and in moments of total forgetfulness and we even compose
songs and literature and poems to try to express the inexpressible.

And then we felt this profound emptiness yet again.....the
longing continue on in samsara.

Only in forgetting can there be meditation.

In meditation there is no view and hence no pessimism nor optimism.
Divine light within our mind is not divine light this is why it is
called divine light.

Beauty is of the mind, not of the heart.
What is the sound of a tree crashing if there is no one to listen ?
Majesty is from your mind not from the tree.
Sunrays are neither gentle nor not-gentle.
Peace remainds and when it springs all is lost.

What's the colour of the rainbow ?

My beloved RaaN,

You said: "Emptiness is an unattainable illusion"...
Yes,...unless you have been there, in and out, down and up, upside
down, all around, and across, throughout the back door of the
Universe, etc....
Certainly, this has revealed your unsuccessful attainment of the
Arts...of Emptiness...attributed to your very own worldy ignorance...
But baby...It's Ok...keep trying! May God bless you with higher
intelligence on your journey towards Enlightenment...
But remember...Don't fool around too much...spend more time
studying...

The rain of wisdom, covering the deep space of silence, majestically
arose amidst the cosmic ocean of existence. The sacred trees stood
still in quietude, illuminating sacred reflections of infinite
consciousnesses. In the deep meditative state, where the mind remains
silent, cosmic energy pervasively reaches all atoms of existence.
This movement of energy is intelligence, wisdom. Wisdom is not of
time and space, thereby, not accumulation of knowledge; it is timeless
and eternal, which manifests through meditation.

Peace & Love,

Greetings All,

In the world of Science, Physics, Signal Processing, Controls,
Communications, etc. "White" light does contain a wide spectrum of
signals at various frequencies, colors...That is, it appears white
(empty of other colors), but in reality, it does contain all colors!
This is analogous to the world of Emptiness...
Emptiness is Form, and vice versa!

Especially, in Controls Engineering and Digital Signal Processing, we
use white noise/signal to model/create other signals for various
applications...
Powerful stuff!

Look again ....... but this time with your heart. It has nothing
to do with colour. Because your mind is fixated and formed by your 5
sense organ and all the attached concepts(6th sense in Buddhism) you
will only "see" these 6 senses.

If "Emptiness is an unattainable illusion" then it is a good

If we attain to emptiness and it is an illusion then it is a bad

Suffering comes from malfunctioning, typically because of the
artificialities in the modern world. The beauty of nature is beautiful
just because it is healthy and happy.

Even though babies have much less experience than adults, babies do
sense. What luckily lacks, is schooled thinking.

The need to split can sometime cause "hernia" of the psyche. And
it can be terribly painful.

When we ask the wrong question we will always get the wrong answer
even if the answer is correct, logical, conform to facts, beautiful in
its argumentative structure, perfect in its syllogistic form.

A good question ot begin with would be - "What is divinity ? "
8-).

How different is your stupifying your mind with logic and
reasons which by the way also came up from your own imagining ? You
are drunk with the power of your own logic and could not see this
"beautiful prison" you have created for yourself.

This is playing with words. At the xxxxxxxxx(in your case
superconsciousness) there is no words - PERIOD.

When Buddha talked of neither perception nor non-perception he was
referring to a state of mind that has no opposites. To illustrate with
words let me choose the words "love" and "hate". We know that the
opposite of love is hate. So when we talk of "neither love or no-love"
it is referring to a love that has no opposite. If the love came from
our mind we love when we have reason to love and when those reasons
change we no longer love and in fact very often fear will arise and
hate followed very quickly. Such a love is ever changing and it goes
from love to contempt to hate and the whole range of human emotions.

But the love of the heart - we call it universal love - has no
opposite. A person with such a love has no reason to love. He just
love and it came from deep within the person's being. Even when this
person is hated or condemned or persecuted the love remains.

May you be well and happy.

If I'm not mistaken you have replied in words.
(Is that correct?) And from a point of supposed
accomplishment (which your communication belies.)

You'd do well to take your own instructions,
as infertile and off the point as they may be.
Find that "eternal void" up your own "holiness".

You can't hear and will not listen to anyone else.

If the source of TRUTH has to come through some form of
epistemology then there is really no TRUTH. If we look at a rose and
we say it is red. A million people say it is red and everyone who
knows the english language and call it red...does it make the rose
red ? Or is red a mind-imposed reality ? If this reality is the
fabrication of the mind what is the TRUTH then.

Once a student asked a zen master to teach. The zen master just
kept quiet and offer tea to this student. He poured tea into the dirty
cup and continue pouring unitl it overflowed. The student jumped up
and shouted at the zen master....."what you crazy-ah ?" The zen
master without looking up replied that the student is like that dirty

I actually knew where you came from. Your mind associated
divinity with God and you seem to take exception to that. I played a
long to see what else from your mind emerged. Divinity, in my use of
the word, does not refer to God but godliness... a state of being, of
Buddhahood etc. Let me share another story with you.

Ven Ramakrishna was a wonderful man and a saint at the turn of
the century. He was a hindu but he like to explore all manner of
spiritual practice. So he practised islam, christianity and buddhism.
Each time he would practice what the religion teaches until he gained
deep realisation of each religion. After his realisation he would tell
his students what he realised using those methods. One day a student
asked him what does a person who do not believe in God realise ?
Ven. Ramakrishna replied - "same as the person who believe in a God."

Keynes, divinity is just a word to describe, albeit not
adequately, the state of being. Don't get your feathers ruffled so
badly.

> I call you an impostor.
> But first you confessed it yourself.

Pray tell, who am I supposed to be impersonating if I am an
impostor ? I do not use my name, very , very few people in real life
in the universe know I am posting this. I live a very simple life on a
farm....I don't have followers, I don't teach dharma, I am badly
maligned in society (thanks to some kind folks who felt I am a threat
to society). I have nothing to promote, nothing to defend and nothing
to teach.

So that in a nutshell is me - a nobody.

I think it was you who quoted. I replied. Try finding what I
had said that was quoted. Those I had quoted were said in context. If
I had used it wrongly then I don't know what I had quoted. If Ihad
used it correctly than what's wrong with it ?

> Where are your guts?

Guts is not an issue. You have some issues - where or from whom
your prejudice came from, I know not. If it came from someone you
don't even know then your ability to assess facts and truth is very
limited. So if someone is pulling your string, you know not where that
string came from.

So what has guts got to do with any of what we have said ?

I thought you were an expert in zen ... by the way you quoted all
these zen masters. Flesh is used by zen master to represent dharma.
In zen dharma can never be thought. We have to own it. We have to make
it our own. You have to eat the flesh. From the way you threw all
these quotes around I could only conclude you haven't eaten the flesh
but the "rotting delusions" that arose from what was taught by zen
masters. Zen masters also called Buddha as the greatest poison of
humanity....if you understood that you would have understood what I
had said. Sadly you did not and you would rather resort to sarcasm and
childish bravado.

You posted a simple paradox.

" Because no merit is accrued all could be accrued."

A very common cheap trick.
There is no accumulation of emptiness.
(Where would you put it?)

No truth. And certainly no 'holy' otherness.
Call it heaven and you make it a hell.

The longing for awakening harms innocent minds.
But if the mind is not innocent, then there's something
to it.

Case 19 of the Gateless Barrier. (Wu-men Kuan)
Chao-chou (Joshu) asked Nan-ch'uan (Nansen),
"What is the Tao?"
"Ordinary mind is the Tao."
"Should I try to direct myself toward it?"
"If you try to direct yourself, you betray your own practice."
"How can I know the Tao if I don't direct myself?"
"The Tao is not subject to knowing or not knowing.
Knowing is delusion; not knowing is blankness.
If you truly reach the genuine Tao, you will find
it as vast and boundless as outer space. How can
this be discussed at the level of affirmation or
negation?"

Heaven and earth are distinct when you prefer one or

Here you make a separation and insist on it. Putting
yourself in one place or the other, how is integration
possible? Holy this, eternal that. Bullshit, sir!

Dear NotImportant & Keynes, ;-)

I've really been enjoying reading your minds, and glad, at least these
days, there're still some of us still existing in this world with such
Dharma knowledge! Especially, NotImportant!
Overall, NotImportant does speak the language of truth, wholiness, and
beauty...Congratulations!
Keynes, you do possess great knowledge of the Zen literatures, but as
mentioned by NotImportant, so far, you've only looked at the
restaurant's menu, without actually eating the food (of
enlightenment)! I'm sure, eventually, when hungry enough for the true
Dharma, you will drop the menu and eat the great food!
Anyway, It's been such a great pleasure to witness all these wonderful
discussions on this forum...

Cheers!

He speaks. He speaks. But never listens. Like you.
The maelstrom of your own mind is all you can hear.
Feed the hungry if you will, but don't try to peddle
candy at the banquet. It makes you look really silly.
And so you are exposed.

How do you know?
You're making the same mistake as NI.
Pick and choose and you lose.

When someone comes on as knowing
what they're talking about, it doesn't take
more than a few words to see what's what.

You and NI are jabbering frauds.
You know some of the words and none of the music.
Is there a penalty for that? Then take it. If not, you
may forever remain where you started.

You're not fooling anyone but yourselves.

You posted a paradox by bodhidharma. I replied in kind. When you

said you hurled insults and cast aspersions. I then endeavoured and
patiently explained to you what was meant.

also endeavour and patiently explain what you meant. Instead of,
again, casting aspersions and making hell of a heavenly discourse
8-).

Since Dr.Tuan had praised you for your knowledge of zen you should
at least understand what is mind and what is no-mind. If it is mind
where can innocence be found ? Hopefully you could endeavour and
patiently explain to a fake like me. I really want to learn from
someone who is not pretenting to be anything else.

And your point being ?

Instead of directing oneself towards tao a good strategy, at least
from an impostor like me, would be to reduce my delusions. What kept
the tao from emerging is our delusions. So in my own simple minded way
I will continue meditating. What need is there really to know the
tao ?

Oh no keynes. You used the zen approach and I merely reflected
back to you in zen form. Wow...hostile ? I did give an example of a
dirty vessel but that was to mock you 8-). No hostility from here.

I have shared my understanding and take on what appeared. I don't
participate very frequently here. I drop in occasionally and just
engage, usually one or two posts I read. In this case it was Dr.Tuan's
rendering of an encounter with the "divine spirit".

When did I use heaven and earth ? I had endeavoured and
patiently explaned what was states where no opposites exist in a
parallel thread with Dr.Tuan. Wholeness by its very name and meaning
suggest the non-existence of opposite. If it does than it is not
whole.

All along the split in your mind came from you. There is a nice
story about Buddha not accepting the insult 8-).

Once a relative took a few boxes of sutras down to Kuala Lumpur
for me to a temple. It was printed on my mom's behalf after her
death. As I had said before I am very badly maligned on the internet
and in real life, even with my family members. He was very suspicious
that I would put something bad in the boxes and then calling the
police to nail him. He was that fearful. Sensing that I looked him in
the eyes and said that there is no shit in the boxes. The shit is in
your heart.

Do you know that everyone I came in contact with over the past
10 years were given scripts to follow.....and I have only met 2 who
refused to follow the stupidity asked of them. One day I sense that
this guy was about to follow the script someone gave him to follow in
front of me. He hesitated and I asked him why wasn't he following the
script he was supposed to carry out ? He thought for a shortwhile
and told me everything. He agreed that it was stupid manipulation by
stupid people carried out by stupid people. In one short sentence he
nailed what is happening around me down to where it should be.

And again, pray tell who is this. Don't just give something so
general. I am not a monk, don't belong to any organisation, do not go
to temple, do not associate with buddhists or any religious group. So
tell us what you know of me as an impostor ? Or are you just farting
in the wind 8-).....you see Dr.Tuan is so nice and I spoke nicely and
even poetically. You use zennist approach and I just follow suit 8-).

Goodness gracious "all" ? So which part of what I had said was a
lie ? A lie means that I know something to be true but said the
opposite such as when I say "I don't teach dharma" but in real life I
teach dharma. So do you know something that others don't ?

And you know me better than I do ? That's a stretch by any
measure of imagination, don't you think ?

If you are honest with yourself you would at least acknowledge
ignorance of who I am. Or are you claiming special knowledge ?

I share and that was the end of it. If you do not accept it then it is
fine by me. I usually go a few rounds to explain what i have said and

I wouldn't dare to speak for Dr.Tuan but as for me - a little
story.

I rear swiftlet as an investment. When a swiftlet home is
first made it is spotless, beautiful and smelt of everything nice and
clean and pure. But the swiftlet just won't come in. One of the ways
to attract the birds into the home is to spray swiftlet shit all over
the home. On the walls , on the floor .... everywhere. Before long
these swiftlet would start to come in and started breeding.

Moral of the story : We are always attracted to our own shit
because it is so comforting 8-).

One of the local scribe also use this dirty trick whenever he found
himself in an intractable position.
If you had been here long enough you will learn a few dirty tricks as
well 8-).

With all due respect, you know not what you are talking about
and yet felt that you have more glimpses or already have arrived at
the promise land to pass such a judgement.

I had endeavoured to explain what I had said and to point out
what is not "very correct" with what you had said. You sued zen
approach and I replied in kind. How is that reactive ? I did not
REACT to your taunt or your insults but instead endeavoured very
patiently to explain my position and I had asked you to do the same.
You should take a long hard look in the mirror and see if what you
have just said is more applicable to you.

How have I not been able to hear and to "stop speaking to
myself" ? That is a rather strange accusation. Look at how I posted.
I endeavoured with great patience to explain my position and to point
out why what you had said was less than correct. And what did you do
in return ? Have a nice look at the mirror Keynes.

And you would know ? So what you are looking for is terms use by
buddhists ? Wouldn't that be a sign of being bound by name and

Jeez....I am at a lost at how you arrive at this understanding or
misunderstanding.
If I call you a fuckwit you will say I am troubled. If I reply
patiently and gently and would not respond to your childish sarcasm I
am also troubled. So what gives ?

And you know why bodhidharma said 'I don't know" ? And you know
why I said Not Important ?

You wanted to use zen approach and yet do not appreciate the essence
of the play of words in zen. And you pass judgement from your total
lack of discernment. Why are you so complacent with your own state ?
Take a good look at the mirror.

Actually who died and made you buddha 8-))))) ?

Knowing your mind is to be fooled by it. Knowing your body is to
be led by it. To drop it is to take it up.

Try figuring that out...oh Buddha 8-).

Natural mind do not distinguish between holy, divine or profane.

Try figuring that out...oh Buddha 8-).

The fact that I don't respond to you has nothing to do with how
"bad" I feel. You have been fucked and you still don't know it.
My time is very limited especially these past few months. I
choose my "fight" and I only engage fully if ti is useful. With you,
it had been very disappointing. As I had said you just want to teach
and talk down to whoever you are engaged with.

Is there some value in what I have just said above ? I hope so
