This is a 3 day weekend for BC Day here. I'm still painting, plus I always try
to go to garage sales every weekend, and the flea markets when they're open.

well we are going to the speedway races, I really hate them, but we are going
in the vip room where they serve free food and drinks, then sun our 23rd
anniversary we are going to the renaissance festival.

The first Monday in August is called a "Civic Holiday" -- it's just an excuse
to throw a long week end in the middle of summer. Have a good one, eh?

We are going to see "What Lies Beneath" tonight. I am so excited because I
love scary movies! . Other than that we are just going to try to stay cool
and keep praying that this heat goes away - we need rain so bad in all the
western states. I am keeping my son inside most of the time because the air is
so bad. I am thankful that my home isn't being threatened by the fires though.
My heart and prayers go out for the wildlife and those that are being affected
the most by these fires.

It's 'British Columbia Day' for us in British Columbia Canada, some (if not
all) other provinces take their own provincial day Monday too :-)

Going to see The Perfect Storm on Sat nite and to the Outback for din-din.
Sunday Ken and the girls are going to a triathlon (Ken is not doing it..he's
taking pictures and doing research for a painting he will be doing and
eventually selling in Triathlete Magazine) and the girls love to go with Daddy
anywhere....Mommy loves that too cuz then she has the whole house to herself!!

Well...I will be going to the pet store Saturday a.m. to stock up on doggie
supplies...then pick up the new doggie Saturday afternoon...first thing will be
to give the new doggie a bath...Hubby has to work Saturday, so I guess doggie
stuff will keep me busy. My son has a "24-Hour Karate Survival Camp" from noon
on Saturday to noon on Sunday. (It's actually a bunch of little boys who spend
the night at the karate school and hang out together.) The funniest part is
when the Grand Master makes them get up at 6:00 a.m. and run around the parking
lot about 20 times while he stands there and drinks coffee and eats donuts from
the donut shop on the other side of the parking lot. I just might get up that
early to go see the "endurance run"! We will probably go to my town's
"Homecoming" to see the fireworks on Sunday night.

Today I am sleeping..or maybe going to visit my best friend.. tomorrow there is
a women's graduation/going away to school celebration for me where all my
female relatives and my mom's friends and stuff are coming to give me advice on
school and that kind of stuff. and Sunday I'm gonna try to see my friend Casey
who I miss sooo much

I've already started my Christmas shopping - have a closet full of various toys
for grandkids already. I usually start looking for my Christmas cards (I am
very picky about what I send out) in August. I got in the habit when we
lived overseas, and had to have things mailed by October.

I thought it was a 'federal holiday'....I see now the provinces name it
seperately...nothing like a unified country....lol.

This weekend I'm not going to the pool because Jared has a cold. Sunday I'm
driving to my sisters for a Mary Kay thingy so we can get some ideas for her
wedding. Actually, my face will look the same as it always does so I look like
ME and not a clown. Hmmm..of course......

BTW..can someone come over and fix my damn cordless phone. It says charging
and keeps beeping and I don't know what the hell is wrong with it.

Well last night we went to my grandmother's 90th birthday. She looked terrific.
It was very nice. Got to see all of my cousins. We talked and
laughed...especially when my aunt gave her a brand new vacuum cleaner. We were
wondering how she was going to attach it to her walker. :)

Friday went out to eat, Saturday spent 5 hours at a craft/antiques show then 5
hours helping a friend learn how to use her new puter, today---dead on the
