Knowing that there are people out there just like you. It's not ALL
religious wars, negative music and school shootings in our little
world. Those are only the awful things that CNN wants to keep telling
us about... Apparently, it boosts their ratings:-/ Just turn it all
off if it's having a bad effect on you.
I did:-)

Most of us are *very* good people, and life on this planet is only
what we wanna make it. If you feel, by the end of the day that you've
done some good, positive things with your time, then you truly deserve
to sleep and dream with a Content Heart.

You *earned* it:-)

When I can wake in the morning and realize that all is well in my world I have
a content heart. And, as MARTHA would say, "it's a good thing".

One, some or all of the following:

getting a Munchkin hug
the warmth of a blanket
a belly full of home cooking
hot chocolate
my grandfather's handmade icecream (this may be his last summer to make it)
looking at snapshots of forgotten fun
hearing family stories--again
accomplishing a goal
a Calgone Milk Bath
a pedicure
and finally, sitting with life long friends in a diner booth at all hours of
the night having endless conversations over lukewarm coffee.

For me, gotta be my nieces and nephews. Ya'll have no idea how they light up,
smile, yell and run to me whenever they see me.
:)
I have a 6 & 8 yr old niece that call me all the time just to say Aunt Patti, I
love you and a 4 yr old ( that STILL is ROACH fascinated LOL ) that gets SOOO
excited to see me that she literally screams my name while running to me for me
to pick her up & give her a hug and kiss.
I'll never have kids of my own but I would have to say that those of you that
do, that has truly gotta be the greatest joy in life.

Having kids is a joy and there is nothing sweeter as a parent than seeing your
child have special relationships with others. So nice for our kids to have
others that give them this unconditional love. People ask me all the time if
I miss Canada and want to move back....basically we are very happy here BUT I
do miss having my family close by and the relationships they had with my
boys...it was so special. (My 3 brothers have no kids -- my sister's son is 18
so my kids have lots of attention).

Awww...sounds like me and my younger niece. She likes to make greeting cards
on the computer to send to me (with a bit of help from Poppa). I even have
some waves of her saying "Hi Aunt Smiley" I try to see the family at least
once a year...Don't know if I will make it this year :(

Sounds exactly like my goddaughters, Patti.
