You *should* be able to install 98 on any computer (laptop or otherwise) with
at least a 386 -- that's easy. The hard part is finding drivers for modern
hardware.

Io devo installare un Programma [PcGenius della deAgostini] che richiede il
Windows 98.
Io ho invece il Sistema operativo Windows Xp Proffessional SP3 su Intel
Pentium Dual Cpu E2220 e la installazione non funziona.
Che fare ?

first of all many thanks for the advice. I am searching .... the drivers.
But ....

I need to install a program [PcGenius the DeAgostini] that requires
Windows 98.
But on my new PC instead I installed the operating system Windows Xp
Professional SP3 on Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2220 and installation
not works.
I have to get a PC Pentium II or later or I can solve my
problem with my current PC Pentium Dual CPU E2220?

drivers. But....

Devo installare un Programma [PcGenius della deAgostini] che richiede il
Windows 98.
Ma sul mio nuovo Pc ho invece installato il Sistema operativo Windows Xp
Professional SP3 su Intel Pentium Dual Cpu E2220 e la installazione non
funziona.
Mi devo procurare un Pc Pentium II or later oppure posso risolvere il mio
problema con il mio attuale Pc Pentium Dual Cpu E2220 ?

A few options:

1) Try running the installer in compatibility mode for Win98. (Right click
the installer -> Properties -> Compatibility tab -> Run this program in
compatibility mode for: -> Windows 98)
2) Install Win98 in a virtual machine on your XP machine. (I recommend
Virtual PC or VMware.)
3) Install Win98 on a supported computer, and use that only for PcGenius.

There are other, more complex, things to try if you'd like. (For example:
Install PcGenius on 98, compare before and after to see what changes were
made to the registry and the filesystem, then copy over to XP... but that
doesn't always work.)

compatibilità per Win98. (Tasto destro del mouse il programma di
installazione -> Proprietà -> Compatibilità scheda -> Esegui il programma

2) Installare Win98 in una macchina virtuale sul computer XP. (Vi consiglio
di Virtual PC o VMware.)
3) Installare Win98 su un computer supportato, e l'uso che solo per
PcGenius.

Ci sono altri, più complessi, cose da provare se vuoi. (Ad esempio:
Installare PcGenius su 98, confrontare prima e dopo per vedere quali
modifiche sono state apportate al Registro di sistema e il filesystem,
quindi copiare oltre a XP... ma che non sempre funziona.)
