Odd XP problem --- Can't rename or move files, can delete and install programs 
  Win XP Pro, Dell Latitude 830. On my daughter's computer all files cannot be renamed or moved (including moving to the recycle bin). They can be permanently deleted (shift-delete). I checked the permissions and those are OK. I even deleted them and re-added them with full permission.... more »

Camera Memory Card Not Recognized by Windows XP

Windows Movie Maker 
  Hi all, I have a computer running XP Home with Service pack 3. I wanted to use Windows Movie maker, but do not seem to have it on my computer. The update site says it cannot be downloaded separately as it is part of Service pack 3. What am I doing wrong? Mick.

Swap File 
  Windows XP SP3 (home edition) I have two physical hard drives on my PC. I fear drive C is being overworked when very large data sets (5 GB or more) are being processed -- overworked hosting the necessary swap file. My memory is only 1 GB. Images 
  Is there a difference between a .jpg image and a .jpeg image? My daughter sent me an E-mail message with attached photos of my granddaughter. The files had .jpeg extensions. problem with my printer 
  I have a relatively new printer HP photosmart 7960, and i have a huge problem with it. It want print documents or pictures that i choose, but i just get a blank peace of paper. i thought that the printer is gone.but...... the level of ink is at its almost full,and when i start one of the programs from the printers software (clean the heads, centering the articles, see if all the colors are displayed coretly...and so on), it all WORKS.... more »

Skype Updating 
  When I boot up or reboot Windows XP, Skype attempts to update. I see these entries in the Application section of Windows Event Viewer: Service started. Cannot erase files 
  Hello folks I have a folder on my PC with 20+ files which, for some reasoon, I cannot delete using either Windows explorer or DOS prompt.   Are there any tablet PC's that can run Windows XP? And I mean can they *run* XP. I'm not asking if or which ones come with XP installed (obviously none do any more).
