Browser for Windws 2000

What browsers are people using for Windows 2000? Windows 2000 can only
go up to IE6 and that is it. I love Maxthon and there are three versions
and all three use the IE engine except for Maxthon 3 that also uses
Chromes engine (a tweaked WebKit engine). But neither Maxthon 2 nor 3
seems to run under Windows 2000. Firefox 4 works ok, but I don't care... more »

Has anybody installed Windows 2000 fresh lately? I had Windows 2000
installed on this netbook (I have lots of them) back in 2009, I think it
was. And I did it just to see how well Windows 2000 would run and I seem
to remember everything was pretty good, except some applications needed
XP SP2 or better. So I used it for a week or two and switched back to XP... more »

Changing resolution without monitor?!?

Hello all,
I have 3 systems at home and I typically use VNC to use them (if
necessary). One of them is without a monitor - that's an old W2k
system that's still running fine. Don't want to buy a new license, but
it's not yet time to remove that old helper.

Anybody using Windows 2000 with more than 4GB?

There are vary places on the Internet which explains why Microsoft changed HAL to impose a 4GB limit on their 32-bit client OS. For example the original XP and 2000 never imposed a 4GB limit. This changed in XP later through SP, but I can't find if 2000 ever had this limit imposed later too. Anybody know?... more »
