. . . and that's exactly where I'm heading. In a few hours, we are out of
here to pick up the Father and we'll all head down to South NJ for a wedding
tomorrow. Then, Sunday afternoon, my sister takes Dad home and the three of
us head off for the:

We'll be there until a week from today. For some reason, my ISP's server
doesn't keep newsgroup mail on the system for a whole week, so I'm going to
miss some of the fun, but I'll check in when I get back. Bye, you!

We vacationed in 1955 near the north end of Long Beach Island, not far from the
state park and the Coast Guard Station. At that time there was an artists'
colony nearby, and we still have a watercolor hanging in our bedroom that we
bought there. I also remember spending several evenings in a big pub on the
north end. One of the patrons complimented me on my attractive young wife.
His New Jersey way of expressing it, in all sincerity: "That's a nice piece of
meat!"

Errrrrr.... THAT didn't come through correctly.
However, if you type "alt.whine" in the box that will come up from the above
link... it WILL show you the latest in this group.
Sorry!

I remember drives "down the shore" in the sixties - very nice :-)

So who's taking care of the pets? The motel doesn't allow them.

I was watching some animal show last week and it featured a female dog that
went into a false pregnancy when her owners brought home an orphaned baby
parrot. The video showed the dog nursing the baby parrot. All I can say is
OUCH!!!
