Wedding Cake Pictures

I am looking for ideas of how to have our wedding cake decorated.....the
bakery we want to use is great, but doesn't have very many pictures to
look at....do u have ideas where i can see pics of wedding cakes?...

I got the picture of the cake I wanted from a photographer. I went to a
bridal show and was looking for a photographer. They have a lot of business
card sized pictures for you to take. One of them was the perfect cake (it
was a little taller and different colors, but it was close enough), so I
took it and gave it to my florist!! You can see our wedding cake at:

Go to the wedding album. There is a picture in there. Our cake was just a
basketweave design with fresh flowers on top. I love the basketweave, but
it is a little more expensive because it is labor intensive.

I would also suggest looking at other wedding web sites to see pictures of
other people's cakes. Bridal shows are also great places to get ideas. Go
to other bakers and look at their pictures. Even grocery store bakeries
will have pictures to look at. Ask your photographer to look at weddings he
has done so you can look at their cakes. They always have complete wedding
books that they have done. My photographer had tons!! Good Luck.

Try www.konditormeister.com. There's another site called
www.weddingcake.com, but I consider that site pretty much a place to go for
a good laugh! If you do a search for wedding cakes, you will probably come
up with a few sites. Also, take a look at the booke Colin Cowie's
Weddings. There are some exquisite cakes pictured in it.

I have a few pictures on my site, But I have found the nicest pictures of
wedding cakes in a book called "Cakes by Design" by Scott Clark Wooley and
Michael Farace.
