A friend of mine who is an x marine is looking for someone who served in Nam
with him. My friend went by the nickname of "Nix" and he's looking for
William Lewis. Lewis lost his legs in battle. If he's around either post
or contact me. don...@netmonger.net

No self respecting Marine is ever looking for an X-Marine, there is no such
animal. There only former Marines and you damn well better remember that
boot. And then say it with a little respect.

Guess I ain't self respecting. On the day that the Captain handed me
my release from active duty, and after all the re up bonus talk he
asked was I sure I wanted out. I asked him was I officially out. He
said yes. Throwing my duffel bag over my shoulder, I replied,"Sir, I
would rather die a drunk in the gutter than spend another day in this
green MF'er."

Meant it then, mean it now.

If I was forced to fight again, I would still do it with the Marines.
Just don't think that there is that much force around.I have no desire
to every fit on the food chain ranked higher than ammo, less than a
rife.

By the way, save your flames, I seldom read my email, and even less
seldom answer it.

Eddie,PFC.

No flames from here, Eddie. You did your job and served your time, so
you have earned the right to feel any way you want. If you feel like an
ex-Marine or a former Marine doesn't matter. What matters is that you
gave it your best and those of us who were there respect you for that.

None here either Marine...

There was another Jar in
here recently who preferred
to be known as an "X" Marine
also... that's his and your
prerogative(s).

But I'll bet my last $1.00 that
when ever you hear the Marines
Hymn the hair on your neck
stands on end and you spine
stiffens.

"Once A Marine ALWAYS A
Marine"!
