Two of the best Vietnam War movies starred Burt Lancaster

The Vietnam War continues to require definition and explanation.
Movies made about the Vietnam War must do both. Burt Lancaster
required his two Vietnam War movie scripts to tell the story of the
Vietnam War. Lancaster 'bookenended' his Vietam War movies... one
movie telling the story at the beginning of the war: "Go Tell The
Spartans", and the other telling the story at the end of the war:
"Twilight's Last Gleaming". Both Oliver Stone ("Platoon") and Francis
Ford Coppola ("Apocalypse Now") highly praised Lancaster's film
contribution.
