What is a Marine?

============================================================================
======
The USMC is over 219 years of romping, stomping, hell, death and
destruction. The finest fighting machine the world has ever seen. We
born in a bomb crater, our mother was an M-16 and our father was the
devil. Each moment that I live is an additional threat upon your life.

I am a rough looking, roving soldier of the sea. I am cocky,
self-centered, overbearing, and I do not know the meaning of fear, for I
am fear itself. I am a green, amphibious monster made of blood and guts
who arose from the sea, festering on anti-Americans throughout the globe.
Whenever it may arise, and when my time comes, I will die a glorious death
on the battle field, giving my life to mom, the Corps, and the American
flag.

We stole the eagle from the Air Force, the anchor from the Navy, and the
rope from the Army. On the 7th day, while God rested, we over-ran his
perimeter and stole the globe, and we've been running the show ever since.

We live like soldiers and talk like sailors and slap the hell out of both
of them. Soldier by day , lover by night, drunkard by choice.

MARINE BY GOD!!!

As a show of my respect for the Jarheads in the group I'm gonna pass on the
2 ball pythons thing. Sides that I think Cecelia is a nice woman and I
loved the old S&G song.

But ain't no telling what the whole nine yards Nigel will have to say about
them.

To state the obvious...and play along

If one came across a python that had visible balls wouldn't it have to be a
Marine python...

See if you can find any people still alive that have "broken up" a Marine
assault at any time in history. I doubt any died from old age.

To explain a ball python... They are non-venomous. They strike their prey
then wrap around it and squeeze until it no longer breathes (looks like a
ball). Mine were sold as a breeding pair. After 10 years and no babies, I
took them to the vet and found out that Bonnie and Clyde were actually Bobby
and Clyde! If any of you have seen snakes close up, you would understand
why I hadn't noticed that they were both males.

Thanks for being 'gentle' with the comebacks!

But it is Sunday and I know my momma is still looking over me. It
especially distressed her when I cussed on Sunday so I'll let the pussy army
green thing slide today of the Sabbath.

But it probably ain't going to rain on your pasture Bill Langston! And I
got my eye on Ray Pollard too!

That means you have to be watching two of us...Reminds me of a story told to us
by an instructor (possibly at the Range or Staging).
It has to do with the Arabs and Israilies but you could substitute any country
or branch of service and have the same effect.
An Arab company was marching across the desert and spotted a lone enemy
soldier near a dune. The Company commander sent out three soldiers to recon the
area and none returned. A little while later they saw the enemy soldier again,
this time he sent a squad out to capture him, again none returned. Later they
saw him again and a platoon was sent out to bring him back dead or
alive...hours later one Arab soldier crawled back and reported to the commander
with his last dying breath..."It was a trap, there were two of them..."
I am sure this has been told time and time again to suit whatever situation
it is used in but thought of it after reading Bill's reply...(G)

Well, apparently you aint dead yet -- training or no -- so its not too late.

You ever hear the story of Chesty Puller training with the Army officer
school? I don't think the Army wants to remember that one.
