I would like to have my wife's mother come from Russia for a visit to the
states. What forms would I have to fill out to have her come here for a
visit? Any insight on this mater would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

I have long experience with Russia and Russians. As far as visitor's visas
issued in Russia, all I can say is good luck. They are very very few and
far between there. I have heard of women even saying that their child would
be left behind in Russia, and showing evidence of their intent on
returning -- they were still denied. That embassy in Moscow is also
starting to chock student visas.

Unfortunately, as little credibility as H.H. has, he is right about
this, from what I hear. Your wife's mother would have to show very
strong proof that she plans to return to Russia, AND that she has
enough money (a letter, or form I-134 from you would help with that -
but may hurt with the issue of immigration intent).
