F1 H1 mess

All,
I have an offer to join a US company and to apply for H1B1 visa (H1B1
still has quota). I also am waiting on an MBA waitlist and would have to
apply for F1 if accepted. I would choose MBA over work.
Now the company wants me to process H1 visa before I have time to get a
reply from the MBA school. Can I submit application for H1B1, and in the
process, if I get accepted to do an MBA, apply for an F1 and stop the
H1B1 process?
In another scenario, if I get H1B1 documents from US and before I go for
a H1B1 visa stamp at the US embassy, and I also get the I-20 (F1
requirement), do I still have the choice of stamping a F1 visa instead
of the H1B1?
This is really confusing. Hopefully someone has experience and can
advise.

Hi, sorry I have not got an answer to your question, but rather have a
question for you. Can you please tell me how you got your job offer or
where did you look for sponsor? I am finding it hard to find jobs with
sponsors. Good luck with your question.

The job for a uni or something like that? because the cap has long
passed, even for people with masters from US institutions...

The job is not for Uni. Anyway the H1B visa is capped, but the H1B1 visa
quota is still open. H1b1 visa is for countries with FTA with USA.

Sorry, but I do not have a clear solution for you maybe JJ Farell et
al. will help you out. The thing that I see might be a problem is F1 is
a non-immigrant VISA with no intentions to later on file for GC and on
the other hand H1 is a dual-intent VISA wherein you can apply for GC.
This is where I am stumped. Sorry if I have confused you further, but
will be on the look out for what the experienced members would say to
your query!

Sure. Your H-1B1 sponsor will likely be sore about the wasted expense
though.

Yes. In addition, you are allowed to hold multiple concurrent non-immigrant
visas.

In particular, the US has such Free Trade Agreements with Chile and Singapore.
The visa for people under these agreements is H1B1, which is different from (but
similar to) H1B.
